Produced in all its ragged glory by lean, mean guitarist Ed Howe and featuring a deceivingly dexterous rhythm section of bassist Tom Appel and Keith Foley on drums, this blistering, bare bones collection is the stuff that used to snag record deals for Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge, Maria Muldaur, and Rickie Lee Jones back in the day. Can there only be one Joss Stone in the marketplace? Choice cut: the hymnal “Watching Over You.”
